These are before and after pictures of a rag rug that my friend, Kathy in Old Mines, MO made.
I met Kathy and her husband, Dan, through my YouTube channel. I made a video asking to meet some of my viewers and possibly teach a class or 2 for them and their friends or organization. Kathy and Dan were one of the 2 places that I went to visit on my Rag Rug Adventure Trip. (April 2016) This is the link of the highlights from my Rag Rug Adventure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCt3uYU94cs
Kathy is great about documenting her before and after work. She does this with her quilts too. They found some of these sheets at their favorite thift store. Kathy and Dan both have a fabulous eye for color. Dan also has made several outstanding rag rugs.
Pattern wise, some of these sheets are not the best looking sheets on the planet, however I wanted you to see how it can come together and make an awesome rag rug piece of art. New or old to rag rug making let this rug spark your excitement for having fun and creating your family heirlooms or gifts for special people.
Thank you, Kathy, for allowing me to share your fabulous work with other rag ruggers!
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for ideas or suggestions you would like clarification or information about. Perhaps you will see it in another Rag Rugs by Erin Blog.
