Caribbean Breeze Rag Rug
If you have not tried this easy rag rug you should consider it. It is a runner rag rug that changes colors on the end of certain rows and only uses the single crochet that drops down a few rows occasionally. I think you should make a rug or two first and then it is easy peasy. Don't let it intimidate you. Your friends will think you are fancy and clever. LOL
