My Family is In My Rag Rug

My Family is In My Rag Rug

Hello Rag Rug Enthusiasts,

I certainly enjoy sharing some of the stories, notes and rag rugs that are shared with me. Maria's sensational braid-in rag rug, along with her touching story and lovely note made me want to share it with you.

"Hi Erin, I’m sending you this thank you note for your awesome videos and tutorials! You are an excellent teacher and have inspired me to make my own  rag rug! I had a great time on its making, it’s not just a rug its part of my life, there’s the husbands worn out t-shirts, the daughters overgrown clothing and also my over grown and beat up t-shirts! It didn’t turn out perfect, I didn’t manage well the pulling of the cloth so sometimes it likes to wrinkle up a bit but that didn’t take the fun out of making it! My next project is recycling a bunch of old jeans that I have around. Thanks for sharing all your know how and keep up the good work, simplicity has always been my saying in life!

I too embrace simplicity in my life and have a sign stating that in my foyer and I have great grandparents from Portugal. Perhaps that is part of the reason all these things touched my heart.

With a smile,

Erin
